For us, sustainability is an essential part of being a responsible company. We are working to reduce our carbon and water footprint through sustainable initiatives, protecting our water resources, reducing food waste, and removing single-use plastic items.

We are ecolabelled with Green Key, and automatically, climate compensates all meetings and events at no extra cost to you. All in one of Europe’s most energy-efficient buildings.

When you arrange meetings or events at Stockholm Waterfront, you make a climate-smart choice – while making a difference to the environment. We help you reduce your company’s carbon footprint by automatically offsets the carbon footprint of every meeting, at no cost to you.

Stockholm Waterfront is part of Radisson Hotels, driving this initiative globally. The carbon footprint is calculated and offsets for each meeting through projects worldwide. The projects work to reduce emissions and benefit local communities and the environment. All projects supported by Radisson Hotels contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This is done in partnership with First Climate, one of the world’s largest organisations for carbon offsets.

The carbon footprint is calculated using the leading measurement tool in the hotel industry, the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI).

We operate in one of Europe’s most energy-efficient buildings. With the help of the sun’s light and the water of Lake Klara, we keep the lights shining and the air perfectly temperate.

The glass facades contain 1,040 m² of solar panels that collect an average of 1 MW of thermal energy daily. This corresponds to 90,000 standard compact fluorescent bulbs. The building is cooled down with the help of water pumped up from Lake Mälaren and stored in 250 tons of cooling tanks in the basement. The technology is then used to move and regulate the temperature. This world-class energy solution was designed to reduce CO² emissions and minimise environmental impact.

Our sustainability work and energy solutions have earned us certification with the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold.

We are proud to have been awarded Leadership in Energy and environmental design (LEED) Gold certification, which is a globally recognised symbol of sustainability achievement. LEED identifies and measures environmentally friendly design, construction, operation, and maintenance.

Stockholm Waterfront and Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel are part of the Radisson Hotel Group and are certified with Green Key. For you as a guest, a Green Key ecolabel shows that we are committed to reducing environmental impact. It also means we meet almost 100 sustainability criteria covering energy, waste, water use and social responsibility.
